INTER.NET WORLDWIDE: started in the year 2000 as Inter.net, becoming the first truly global ISP with presence in 15 countries. It was formed from a carve-out and spin off of a part of the 65 local Internet Service Providers PSINet bought as it built its international presence in 1997-2000. In 2001, Inter.net became totally independent from PSINet, operating as a separate company. The headquarters is in Reston, Virgina, USA, about 10 minutes from Washington Dulles International Airport. This is at the heart of the birth of the commecial Internet and in one of the main technology/telecommunications centers of North America. From these origins, it has had a core focus on the Internet and a management style that emphasized decentralized decision-making, entrepereneurialism, trust and sharing. INTER.NET ARGENTINA: started in mid 2000 as a result of the merger of 5 local internet companies (ISP) focused on providing services to businesses. We presently have our own Data Center and we provide access services in over 900 localities in Argentina, which makes us one of the networks with widest coverage in the country.
